Also known as Mt. Musuan and Mt. Kalayo, Musuan Peak has an elevation of 646 meters above sea level. It is located in Musuan, Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon. It is actually an active volcano which, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, last erupted in 1866 and 1867. Because of its proximity to Central Mindanao University (CMU), it is a popular picnic and hiking place for students and teachers alike. There is an easy trail going up to the peak where one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Bukidnon's mountains, forests, vast rice and sugarcane fields and the Pulangi River.
