Revisiting Luan-Luan Spring Resort in Quezon, Bukidnon
Before the more famous MGM Mountain Resort, RR Family Spring Resort, Waig Crystal Spring Resort and Edlimar Farm and Spring Resort were developed, there was Luan-Luan. Located in Poblacion, Quezon, Bukidnon, this municipal-owned resort used to be the most famous destination in the southern part of the province. I could still remember the first time I went here was during our high school field trip more than twenty years ago. I recently had the opportunity to get inside Luan-Luan Spring Resort once again during one of my travels when we decided to stopped over and eat our lunch here.

We passed by this lake in Barangay Manlamonay, Don Carlos, Bukidnon during our field work. Coming from the Poblacion, we were on our way to San Isidro, Kitaotao. The lake happens to be adjacent to one of the agricultural lots subject for our inspection.

Alalum Falls in Kisolon, Sumilao, Bukidnon
On our way from Malaybalay City to Cagayan de Oro City, we stopped along the highway of Kisolon, Sumilao, Bukidnon to take a closer look of the Alalum Falls. With a height of approximately 148 feet and surrounded by lush vegetation, Alalum Falls serves as the boundary of the municipalites of Impasug-ong and Sumilao.

RR Family Spring Resort in Tubigon, Maramag, Bukidnon
It was a rainy afternoon and after hanging out for about an hour in Lake Apo, we proceeded to RR Family Spring Resort located in Tubigon, Maramag, Bukidnon. Fortunately, the rain already subsided when we reached the resort. Though it was still cloudy, it gave us the opportunity to take more photos of the place.

Revisiting Nasuli Spring Resort in Bangcud, Malaybalay City
Nasuli Spring Resort is a picnic and swimming spot located in Bangcud, Malaybalay City. It is about 20 kilometers away from Malaybalay City proper.
Way back when there are still no spring resorts in Bukidnon, Nasuli is a favorite outing spot of the local residents because of the ice cold spring water sprouting on its natural pool. Due to its proximity to Malaybalay (my hometown), we used to frequent this place during our high school years.

Lake Apo in Guinoyoran, Valencia City, Bukidnon
Nestled in Barangay Guinoyoran, about 11 kilometers from Valencia City proper is a circular rift lake called Lake Apo. The lake has an estimated area of 24 hectares and a depth of 85 feet. It has been dubbed as the cleanest and greenest inland body of water in Northern Mindanao.

Capturing the Tranquility of Pinamaloy Lake in Don Carlos, Bukidnon
Lake Pinamaloy is located in Poblacion Don Carlos, Bukidnon. This guitar-shaped fresh water lake has an estimated area of more than 50 hectares and is surrounded by Gmelina and Mahogany trees. Aside from being a tourist attraction, this serene and tranquil lake is also an important source of potable water for the Municipality of Don Carlos

A new spring resort recently opened in Tubigon, Maramag, Bukidnon. Located along the national highway, Rockstar Spring Resort started its operation last October 9, 2010. The resort has two swimming pools with slides, cottages and a canteen/sari-sari store. The resort offers overlooking views of the national highway and the grand Pulangi River.

Edlimar Farm and Spring Resort
Edlimar Farm and Spring Resort is located in Barangay Tubigon, Maramag, Bukidnon. The resort has swimming pools both for children and adults. Other facilities include open cottages, a native kiosk, concrete and wooden picnic tables, cooking area and closed cottages for overnight accommodation. Edlimar Farm and Spring Resort is accessible even for commuters as it is only about 200 meters east of the national highway. Just ask the bus driver or conductor to drop you by at the Edlimar entrance.

With its attractive rock formations and challenging caves, Mount Capistrano is a favorite climbing destination of local folks and nature trekkers especially during the lent season. Despite its rough terrains and sharp rocks, it offers a good spot to enjoy the panoramic view of the neighboring mountains and the vast acres of rice and corn fields below.
