The Municipality of Impasug-ong recently boosted its tourism industry with the unveiling of larger-than-life cowboy and Kaamulan-inspired statues built along the highway road junction going to the town proper.

Designed by well-known Davao artist Kublai Millan, the statues enticed travelers to drop by this booming town which is also known as "Home of the Country's Finest Cowboys".
More and more travelers are stopping by to take photos of these huge statues
Impasug-ong is a first class municipality in the Province of Bukidnon. A Piolo Pascual-Angel Locsin movie was once filmed in this town.
Near the municipal hall compound is this giant replica of the "banga" or earthen jar. The earthen jar is at the center of the Impasug-ong municipal seal.
Since its town proper is still a few kilometers away from main highway, the place is often overlooked and its potential still remains uncovered. However, the LGU's Department of Tourism has become very aggresive in promoting the municipality. And with these attention-grabbing giant statues tempting travelers to come inside the town for a closer look, I am sure that very soon, Impasug-ong would become Bukidnon's top tourist destination.
Buti pa ang Impasugong.
ReplyDelete@Irene: I really admire the LGU's efforts to promote tourism in Impasug-ong. Sad to say, I could not say the same for the rest of Bukidnon.
