I joined the 1st Intavas-Kibenton Eco-Trail Fun Run last August 7, 2011. The event was participated by no less than 200 runners and the race route started from Sitio Intavas, La Fortuna up to Barangay Kibenton, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.
It was another tough trail run but as always, I enjoyed the amazing scenery we passed along. These are some of the photos which I took during the race:
Sitio Intavas, La Fortuna, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon is the take-off point in climbing Mount Kitanglad. The sitio is about 4 kilometers from the foot of the mountain. The communication towers at the peak of Mt. Kitanglad is already visible from the sitio proper.
The start of the race
Its a beautiful day...
Mt. Kitanglad is a constant presence all throughout the run
Residents in Sitio Intavas mostly engage in vegetable farming
Who wouldn't love to run with sights like these...

Along the way, we crossed five rivers. These are the first four:
The fifth one is the Sagumata River which has a bamboo bridge:

I'm so bothered. Bakit made out of bamboo lang yung bridge?! Safe ba yun???
ReplyDelete@mindanoan: hi irene! safe naman sya.actually before the race daw there were only two or three bamboo poles used as bridge by the local folks here. they added more poles before the event to strengthened the bridge and make it safer for runners to pass through.
ReplyDeleteHi Earl! Okay, that's a relief. Pero still I wish there'll be a better bridge na maconstruct dyan soon :(
