Musuan Peak

Also known as Mt. Musuan and Mt. Kalayo, Musuan Peak  has an elevation of 646 meters above sea level. It is located in Musuan, Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon. It is actually an active volcano which, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, last erupted in 1866 and 1867. Because of its proximity to Central Mindanao University (CMU), it is a popular picnic and hiking place for students and teachers alike. There is an easy trail going up to the peak where one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Bukidnon's mountains, forests, vast rice and sugarcane fields and the Pulangi River.

Centro Folk House--The Home of Ice Cold Beer, Chicken Neck and Rock & Roll

Centro Folk House is a small resto-bar located in Tabios St., Malaybalay City. It is adjacent to the SOTELCO office. Centro has been in business for many years now and is famous for their crunchy, deep fried chicken neck which I believe is their all-time best seller. They also serve ice cold beers (SMB, San Mig Light and Red Horse), Tanduay Ice and Gilbeys Premium. Every Friday night, the Centro Band and their friends perform live folk, rock and country music.

Random Shots: Malaybalay to Cagayan de Oro City (and Back)

The view while passing by Atugan Bridge

These are photos taken while I'm on my way way to Cagayan de Oro City on board the RTMI aircon bus.

Since the bus moves at a very fast speed, it is very hard to focus on the subjects to get decent shots. However, I still managed to get a few good ones which I believe showcased some of the best scenery that Bukidnon has to offer. (Click the photo to view the full size of the image.)

This photo was taken with my cellphone after the battery of my digital camera ran out.

Paitan, where vast track of lands are planted with palay, is one of the 31 barangays of Quezon, Bukidnon . It is bounded by Barangay Butong in the southwest, Barangay Lumintao in the southeast and Barangay Merangeran in the south. Its north, northeastern and northwestern boundaries are comprised of barangays of Valencia City.
