The Waterfalls of CEDAR

The Center for Ecological Development and Research (CEDAR) is an eco-park located in Impalutao, Impasugong, Bukidnon. This reforestation project is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in the province. It offers various outdoor activities for adventure enthusiasts such as camping, trail hiking, swimming, river trekking, rappelling, canyoneering and so much more. Among CEDAR's main attractions are its three natural waterfalls, which can all be viewed and accessed in one day hike.

CEDAR's entrance is located along the national highway of Barangay Impalutao, Impasugong, Bukidnon:

You can feel the cool air as you walk underneath this canopy of trees:

You will also pass by this nice and cozy wooden house:

This is CEDAR park's main entrance. Entrance fee is only 10 pesos per person:

From here, the three waterfalls can be reached by following an established trail.

First you will passed by the man-made swimming pool fed with ice-cold spring water.

Cross the bamboo bridge and keep on walking and until you reach CEDAR's most famous waterfall-- Gantungan:

Cross another bamboo bridge then follow the narrow trail going to the left. It will take you to a vantage point where you can view the partly hidden Natigbasan Falls.

From here, just keep on walking through the trail until you can hear the rumbling sound of another waterfall. Carefully descend through a slippery slope until you come face to face with Dila Falls:

Take a rest, enjoy the sights and take lots of photos. Then you may retrace your steps in going back. Before heading home though, don't forget to take a dip in the ice-cold swimming pool. It is a great way to capped off your day of exploring CEDAR.
