Atong Press and various local media groups commemorated today, November 23, 2010, the first anniversary of Maguindanao Massacre through a series of activities held in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The commemoration kicked off at 7 AM with a radio hopping in various radio stations in Malaybalay. A photo exhibit titled "Sudden Death, Slow Justice" was then held by MindaNews at the Bukidnon State University Museum. At 4 PM, a Holy Mass was celebrated at the San Isidro Cathedral which was then followed by a march to Freedom Park. The commemoration was culminated with a candle lighting and sharing/updating of information related to the on-going trial of Maguindanao Massacre.
Participants of the event include DXDB Station Manager Fr. Jonathan Tianero, KBP, Atong Press, MindaNews, DXDB Bandilyo Sa Bukidnon, Central Mindanao Newswatch, DXMV Radyo Ukay, RMN, DXBU, Radyo Nation, Philippine Information Agency and DPWH-PIO.

I was only able to catch the last part of the activities, which was the candle lighting and sharing of information at the Freedom Park.
