I passed along the Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City this morning and observed the on going construction of several Food Fest booths. The Food Fest has always been one of Kaamulan Festival's top crowd drawers as it is in these booths where people converged to eat, drink and be merry. Kaamulan Festival 2012 will kickstart with a "soft opening" on February 16 while the grand opening will be held on February 25.
These booths will soon be offering food and booze to the festival's revelers. In the past years, among the most prominent booths were are those owned by established restaurants in Malaybalay City such as Rey's Grill, Yoly's Fastfood and Red Gourmet. Booths with videoke machines were also the most patronized.
This year, according to an article posted in Bukidnon Online, videoke machines are only allowed to operate until 10 PM. I am in favor of this ruling if indeed this is true. Videokes are definitely annoying and troubles and crimes often resulted from late night drinking.
