I had the opportunity to take photos of the Municipal Hall of Quezon, Bukidnon yesterday when we went there for an official business. The municipal hall is located in Barangay Libertad, along the Bukidnon-Davao National Highway. It is about one to two kilometers away from Quezon Town Proper.
Quezon is a 1st class municipality which belongs to the 3rd District of Bukidnon. It is located in the southern part of the province and is about 75 kilometers from Malaybalay City, 162 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro City and 145 kilometers from Davao City. Majority of its land area is devoted to agriculture and mostly planted with sugarcane, corn, rice and pineapple.
A landlocked municipality, Quezon is bounded in the north by Valencia City: east by San Fernando; south by Kitaotao and west by Maramag and Don Carlos. It has a total land area of 71, 128 hectares.
Quezon is politically subdivided into 31 barangays. Barangay Poblacion (formerly known as Kiokong) is considered as the town proper where most commercial establishments like banks, general merchandising stores and fastfood eatery are found.
The town is also home to scenic tourist attractions. Among the most famous destinations are Luan-Luan Spring Resort in Barangay Poblacion, Overview Park in Palacapao and the White Rock Walls in San Jose.
The Local Government Unit of Quezon is presently headed by Mayor Gregorio Gue and Vice Mayor Robert Alo.
As I pass through Bukidnon, I notice you have a penchant for beautiful Municipal halls. Nice!
