Takbo Para Sa Bayanihan (Malaybalay City, Bukidnon)

Takbo Para Sa Bayanihan was held last July 23, 2011 at the 403rd Infantry Brigade Compound, Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The trail run was part of the brigade's 38th anniversary celebration. There were three categories in this run: 12K, 7K and 3K.

In this event, I joined 12K while my wife signed up for the 3K. It rained hard the day before the run so during the race day, the trail was muddly and slippery. The route is hilly for most part up to the 12K turning point, making the run very challenging. I took many walk breaks during my run because of the slippery trail. The mud also got stuck in the sole of my shoes (I should have worn my trail shoes that day) making it heavier and more difficult to run.

It was a bit foggy that morning but still the view is awesome at the vast pineapple plantation. Like my previous runs, I took my digicam with me so I can take photos along the way.

 Another awesome view....

Ain't it foggy outside?

A cold and frosty morning...

I finished my 12K run at 1:30 which is 3 minutes slower than my time during the Run for the Forests. I still had a great time running though and it was a good feeling receiving my finisher's medal at the finish line.

'Til the next run!

Proudly showing our medals (and muddy shoes)!
