Malaybalay Night Cafe Now Open

Malaybalay City's night cafe officially opened last December 1, 2011 at the City Covered Court (popularly known as Freedom Park). With the theme "Kasadya sa Freedom Park 2011", the night cafe aims to liven up the spirit of Christmas in the City of Malaybalay.

Together with my officemate Bon (My Bukidnon Photo Blog), we went to the night cafe on its opening night to meet up with fellow Bukidnon Blogger Irene (Mindanaoan and Bukidnon Online). We were supposed to check out the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Plaza Rizal first, but since it was raining hard, we proceed directly to Freedom Park.

The set up is pretty much the same as last year. Half of the covered court is occupied by food stalls with their respective tables and chairs. The remaining half is left vacant which I presumed is intended for concert audience as live bands are scheduled to play every night.

Maybe because of the rain, the cafe was not that crowded during the opening night. Malaybalay City LGU officials including Hon. Mayor IƱaki Zubiri, his wife and some councilors were there to grace the occasion.

Perfect for cold December nights.
