Atugan Bridge, located along Sayre Highway, Impasugong, Bukidnon, is said to be the highest bridge in the Philippines. According to the Official Website of the Province of Bukidnon, it has a depth of 64.5 meters from top roadway to bottom of footings. Atugan Bridge was built using the balanced cantilever principle and simultaneous casting of piers. It crosses the Atugan Canyon and is regularly passed along by vehicles traversing the Cagayan de Oro-Bukidnon-Davao route.
Last September 1, I got the chance to cross Atugan Bridge on foot when I joined the SPED Tri 30+ Run which started from Kisolon, Sumilao and ended in Malaybalay City. It was indeed a rare chance to run across the country's highest bridge, so I took the opportunity to take photos along the way.

Noticed the small house near the river? It made me curious how it is like to live down below.
